Moltex welcomes Michael England as COO

Saint John, New Brunswick (Tuesday, May 18, 2021)Moltex Energy welcomes Michael England as Chief Operating Officer (COO), effective Monday, May 17, 2021.

Mr. England will be responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of the company, including growing the team and overseeing the development of the Stable Salt Reactor – Wasteburner (SSR-W) and WAste To Stable Salt (WATSS) technologies.

“We are very excited to have Mr. England join the Moltex team,” said Rory O’Sullivan, Chief Executive Officer, North America, Moltex Energy. “His knowledge and experience will be tremendously beneficial to us as we progress our technology and expand our business in Canada.”

Mr. England joins the company from Ontario Power Generation (OPG), where he held senior management roles in corporate strategy, finance, commercial management, project assurance and most recently nuclear decommissioning. Mr. England’s leadership was instrumental in many projects, including the on-budget refurbishment of Darlington’s Unit 2, and the implementation of the Centre for Canadian Nuclear Sustainability (CCNS).

Mr. England will work out of the company’s Saint John office.
