Saint John, New Brunswick (Monday, October 26, 2020) – Moltex Energy is delighted to announce that Rory O’Sullivan, CEO, North America at Moltex was appointed to the Canadian Nuclear Association (CNA) Board of Directors during the CNA’s 60th Annual General Meeting on Thursday, October 22, 2020.
“As a developer of small modular reactors, Moltex represents a pivotal sector of the Canadian nuclear industry and we are pleased to have them on our Board of Directors,” said John Gorman, President & CEO, Canadian Nuclear Association. “We look forward to Mr. O’Sullivan’s unique insights as a mechanical engineer with experience in reactor design, supply chain development and large-scale project management.”
O’Sullivan will serve on the Board as a representative of CNA’s “Class 2,” which includes companies involved or specializing in engineering, procurement and construction. His term begins immediately.

Moltex is developing a molten salt reactor that consumes used CANDU fuel. In 2018, NB Power and the Government of New Brunswick selected the company to advance its technology in New Brunswick, with the aim of deploying its first reactor at the Point Lepreau site as early as 2030.
O’Sullivan has been with Moltex since the company was founded in 2014.
