If we are to address global warming, we need nuclear power. Renewables alone can’t meet global demand. To bridge the energy demand gap, governments will keep building fossil fuel power stations until the alternatives are cheaper. Well now they are - our plants are cheaper to build and operate than coal or gas.

Many countries have stockpiles of nuclear waste from their current plants; waste which will need storing carefully for 300,000 years. That’s as long as it has taken modern humans to evolve. We can burn this nuclear waste in our reactors, reducing the hazardous lifetime a thousandfold.
Electricity generation from fossil fuels is the largest single contributor to global carbon production, but transportation and heating are also significant. Our technology doesn’t just deliver carbon-free electricity, it delivers much cheaper electricity - an estimated £195 annual saving for the average UK home. This means that many more people will be lifted out of energy poverty and that it will become more economic to charge vehicles and heat buildings with electricity, helping to decarbonise those industries too.

Energy demand is variable, but most energy supply isn’t. Until now, only gas could provide the variable load necessary to make up the balance - that’s more fossil fuel burning. Well that has all changed - we can deliver a variable output to the grid which will provide the perfect balance with renewables.

The Stable Salt Reactor is ready for implementation now.

Today we have the technology in Stable Salt Reactors to transform the energy landscape. The science is done - it’s just a matter of nuclear approval processes and construction.

Modest funding now will see Moltex through these approval processes, initially in the UK and Canada, and through to the construction of the first reactor. Thereafter the market is almost inconceivably large.

The decision by visionary investors to back Stable Salt Reactors will determine how quickly we can start to roll back global CO2, enrich the whole planet and transform people’s lives.
